The racing line at the section Klostertal:
Coming from the boiler, after the right-hand bend (R-22) keep to the right side of the road. Take a slight left bend only up to the middle of the road and keep right at the exit. At the Rattersteinen, brake slightly before the left-hand bend (L-23). Approach the apex towards the end of the kerbs and let it carry out as far as possible with as little loss of speed as possible in the further course of the left-hand bend (L-23).
On the straight section in the Klostertal, change to the left-hand side of the road and drive straight over the hilltop before the right-hand bend (R-23). Only after the hilltop turn right (R-23). At the apex, drive up to the kerbs on the inside of the bend and let them come out again at the exit of the bend. Approach the slight left bend before the Klostertal bend (R-24) from the right-hand side of the road and change to the left-hand side. Then keep to the very left of the roadway in order to get to the right-hand bend (R-24) in the direction of the Caracciola carousel.
Note: In the long and in places very steep uphill passage from Breidscheid over the sections ExTal, Bergwerk, Kesselchen, Klostertal and Caracciola-Karussell to the Hohe Acht, the engine is subjected to particularly high loads. Especially on very warm days it is advisable to keep an eye on the engine temperature via the cooling water indicator and, if available, the oil temperature indicator in order to avoid overheating and possible engine damage.
